Everything you might want to know about how JMODS installs work, timelines, and warranty.

Most installs happen at the JMODS shop in the GTA — it's the best environment for clean, dust-free work and access to all our tools. Mobile installs may be available for simpler jobs like CarPlay retrofits or dash cams, depending on your location. Ask when you book.
Depends on the package. A basic ambient foot-light install can be done in a few hours; a full 5-zone ambient with OEM coding takes a full day. Starlight headliners typically run one full day for the fiber install plus a second day if we need to drop the headliner. You'll get a firm timeline when your deposit is confirmed.
Your deposit does two things: it locks in your appointment date and it pays for parts to be ordered. Most JMODS installs use vehicle-specific parts that we don't stock in bulk, so the deposit covers what we need to buy in advance. The remaining balance is due when you pick up the finished car.
Standard packages (starlights, ambient, CarPlay, immobilizer) usually arrive within 7–10 business days. Steering wheels, body kits, and rims run longer because of sourcing — typically 15 days. Your booking page shows the earliest install date based on the package you pick.
Every JMODS install carries a 1-year workmanship warranty. If any wiring, coding, or install issue comes up in that window, bring it back and we'll make it right. Hardware warranties from the parts themselves vary by product.
Our installs are non-destructive — we use existing wiring taps, factory connectors, and OEM-style coding where possible, so nothing gets cut that can't be reversed. Individual manufacturer policies vary, so check with your dealer if you're worried about a specific system.
Sure — our shop sells parts-only kits for ambient lighting, CarPlay adapters, starlights, and more. Just note that certain installs (OEM ambient, immobilizers, coded steering wheel swaps) really benefit from proper tools like OBDeleven or VCDS. If you get stuck, you can always bring the parts in for us to finish.
Those are handled through JMODS partner shops — we've vetted a group of GTA specialists we trust and we coordinate the whole job for you. You get a single point of contact and quality control without having to shop around yourself.
Rescheduling to another date is no problem as long as parts haven't shipped yet. Once your parts are ordered, cancellations are subject to a restocking fee for anything vehicle-specific we can't return. Give us as much notice as you can.
PayPal and Interac e-Transfer are supported through the site. Cash is accepted at the shop for balance payments if you prefer.
